Getting around

Syracuse is walked, not driven: from our door the main sights are all within 23 minutes on foot. A car is what you need for day trips out of town.

By car

Free parking is on the street, right outside the door. There are more spaces in the surrounding streets, and for day trips your own car is the easiest option.

By train

Siracusa Centrale is 760 metres away: 10 minutes on foot, with regional and high-speed trains.

By bus

The bus terminal is 783 metres away, 10 minutes on foot: regional and extra-urban lines leave from there.

On foot

Ortigia is about 1,000 metres away (13 minutes), the sea 572 metres (7 minutes), Neapolis 1,454 metres (19 minutes).

Parking and access

Three things to know before you arrive.

Free street parking

There is a free parking space in front of the door: it is the one guests use. In the surrounding streets parking is free and easy to find.

Ground floor access

The entrance is at street level, but the doorway is narrow: the minimum width is about 60 cm. With a large trolley or bulky luggage, better to stop right outside the door.

Self check-in with the building staff

There is no reception: at check-in you meet the building staff, who let you in and walk you through the house. Check-out is by 11:00.
